Description
129 Acres in upper Pickens County near Millport Located on Odom Road(formerly Lon Smith Rd.). This property is situated on two sides of a gravel rd in Pickens county and is bounded on the north by Lamar County.
The property was surveyed January 2008 and corners are marked with 1/2 rebar and metal fence posts.
A long trail is cut through the eastern portion of the property leading to four green areas.
Also a natural gas line easement spans from east to west providing another easy navigation route.
An additional green area has also been established along this gas line.
Abundant wildlife exists here with many signs of deer. The property has been described as being "infested" with deer! Trees are a mixture of hardwood and pine and are approximately 15 to 18 years old.
Several small creeks merge together at the eastern most part of the property. Adjoining parcels on the east and north east have been clear cut in the last three years. Timber on parcels on the west and south west are being harvested now(March 2011).
Anyone intending to lease the property will have to provide their own Hunting boxes, hunting stands, and possibly gates where they feel the need. Existing stands and boxes are the property of the prior tenant and will
be removed shortly.
At the present time I have the driveway blocked with gates or cable. Anyone viewing the property should park at the road and hike for the time being. Please call me first.
